Since 2002, ADCSA has trained at Barratt Reserve, on West Beach Road  at the clubgrounds of the
German Shepherd Dog Club, situated approximately 500m. west of Tapleys Hill Road,
on the southern side and well sign-posted.

We train on Thursday evenings, March to November, with a Beginners'
induction class for new members on the first Thursday evening of each month:
if this introductory session has to be cancelled (see below) it's held the following week.

Dogs must be 12 months old before beginning their Agility training, and a   general Veterinary check is recommended to ensure that they are fit for this type of exercise.  Some breeds, and all dogs that are markedly overweight, should not be expected to jump.
While we doesn't ask any particular level of previous Obedience training, some basic Obedience is necessary for dogs to be able to work off-lead as soon as they're familiar with the equipment, and so make greater progress and have more fun in their training. If your dog isn't yet old enough to join our club, we recommend you join an Obedience club to give you that 'edge' when you're ready for Agility.
NB: Proof of your dog/s' current Vet. vaccination will be required on joining/renewing membership

Members in the non-trialing classes ( i.e: first session classes) are required to attend by 6.50 p.m.
to assist with the setting up of equipment, and training will start as soon as this is done.
If this is not possible for some members to achieve either regularly or on 'one-off' occasions,
it's expected that they will remain at the end of training to take down and pack up the equipment,
which is a crucial element in Agility training.  All members are reminded of the need to 'do their bit'
and be considerate towards each other,  and to make adequate arrangements for the tethering/crating
of their dogs for the comfort and safety of all dogs and handlers on the club-grounds..

All dogs must be on lead or crated at all times when not not actively engaged in class/training.

*Unsettled/ barking barking dogs are not to be tethered/crated on or near the clubrooms veranda.
Tethered dogs should be attached to their peg by a lead of no more than 1 metre in length.

Dogs may be trained without a collar if under control,
or wear a flat collar without attachments (no ID tags or anything hanging from the collar)
no slip collars are allowed in an Agility environment.
Leads should be between 1 m and 1.5 m in length.

NB::       You must wear your current Membership badge-tag when in class.
